ELEKS announces a vacancy opening for Head of Software Engineering and Development Office at Lviv office.

Job Summary

Ensure the development and successful functioning of the corresponding office. Manage the office to the benefit of both the company’s progress and professional growth of employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create favorable conditions for the development of all the competences and directions of the office.
  • In collaboration with other functional subdivisions of the Company, determine goals, priorities, and limitations to managing the quality of human resources depending on the external conditions and internal needs.
  • Ensure control and analysis of the quality of the human resources and their correspondence to the production needs.
  • Allocate necessary human resources to improve knowledge of employees, engage experts in conducting lessons and organizing mentoring in the Company.
  • Prepare the procedural framework to conduct tests for defining qualification level of employees (matrix) and ensure participation of experts of the corresponding technologies and industries in testing.
  • Ensure participation of experts in conducting external and internal technical interviews.
  • At request of the Company or customer, provide participation of experts in organizing and conducting the expert review of the Company’s projects.
  • Form organizational and functional structure of the office, determine goals, priorities, and duties of employees, and organize their motivation.
  • Hold responsibility for hiring employees and dismissing them at their own or PM’s request.
  • Establish the initial salary of employees and ensure its timely and reasoned revision.
  • Divide the annual bonuses and other rewards among employees.
  • Plan the budget of the office, negotiate the approval of the budget with the stakeholders, and ensure adhering to it.
  • Coordinate the work of Competency Managers and ensure they perform their functional duties to the fullest.
  • Based on the available information, prepare strategic forecast on human resources of the office and their qualifications for the Company’s departments concerned.
  • Participate in regular monitoring of the office employees, attend meeting with employees regarding completion of their probation or dismissal.
  • Help Project Managers set up favorable work conditions for employees.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development and 3+ years of experience in people or competence management.
  • Principles and methods of human resources management, peculiarities of managing the personnel of the specific office.
  • Standards and methods of process management.
  • Professional standards of IT in the specific field.
  • Principles of planning the budget in IT.
  • Standards and methods of human resources quality assessment.
  • Strong background in techniques of personnel management, methods of management, risk management, decision making etc.
  • Basics of pedagogy, methodologies of training and interacting with audience.
  • Confident usage of methods and techniques of personnel management.
  • Ability to manage processes as well as control and assess quality of the management process.
  • Ability to manage, train, and motivate personnel.
  • Capability of organizing development and enforcement of policies, regulations, duty instructions etc.
  • Perfect skills in organizing team work.
  • Perfect skills in communicating with stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan budget and assess efficiency of the office work.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Upper-intermediate English level.
  • Master’s Degree/PhD.
