Jaanika became a software developer at the age of 16 and went on to set up her own IT company a few years later. For the last five years, she has been a Member of the Board of investment fund, US Invest. She has also worked for the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), UANGEL and the Ukrainian Business Angels Network. Together with her teams, Jaanika successfully implemented innovative e-solutions.
Jaanika will retain her current positions as an Advisor at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation of Ukraine and deputy mayor of Dnipro, where she is responsible for e-government, technology, e-services, public services, public procurement, e-ticketing, city call centres and implementing innovation.
From 2015 until the present day, Focus magazine has included Jaanika in their list of Ukraine’s most influential women. PaySpace magazine have recognised her personal contribution in the development of start-ups by awarding her their Gold aware two years in a row.
