Lviv – May 12, 2020 – Ukraine's industry-leading software R&D company ELEKS announces a change in its online Hackathon. ELEKS Hackathon New Online Era – Collaborate for Impact is uniting with Hack the New World into one event to find effective tech solutions for the post-crisis period, which will be implemented in Lviv, our country, and the world.
ELEKS' CTO Klaus Sonnenleiter says, "In the face of a global crisis, we see areas for business growth and opportunities to improve our ways of cooperation. We have united the efforts of leading IT companies in Ukraine to create the most effective solutions. Technology is one of the most powerful tools of today, and the Hackathon is a way to use them to address the pressing issues. We have brought together IT professionals, visionaries, analysts, and masterminds from around the world to find solutions to ensure the stability and development of our new digital age."
The New Online Era – Collaborate for Impact purpose is to find solutions related to maintaining business continuity in times of crisis, the rules for secure interaction, overcoming logistical difficulties, and solving network issues. Similarly, Hack the New World seeks solutions for the post-quarantine Lviv, which will help the city to revitalize businesses as soon as possible. However, the aim of both events is the same: to bring together talented engineers and innovators and develop an effective ready-to-use product in 48 hours. Therefore, the organizers decided to unite and redouble their efforts. The event will take place on May 15-17.
The Hackathon will be co-organized by ELEKS, Lviv IT Angels and Lviv IT Arena. Participants will focus on tackling the isolation caused by worldwide restrictions, while addressing other key issues, such as ensuring safe interaction, dealing with logistical difficulties and solving networking problems.
