With more than 13,000 employees in 50 global offices and a need to maximise its talents’ potential, NRI wanted to explore the business and technology landscape of Talent Marketplace (TMP) solutions currently available on the market.
The client needed a comprehensive analysis of the TMP solutions industry to help it set the grounds for its business strategy within this domain.
The ELEKS team supplied NRI with a research report analysing the existing Talent Marketplace (TMP) platforms from a business and technology perspective. We identified 11 major market players, then prepared in-depth descriptions and comparisons of the ‘top five’ – Gloat, Fuel50, Neobrain, SAP SuccessFactors and Eightfold – based on the strength of their track records. Our team selected companies of varied size and product mix in order to capture a holistic view of the market.
We applied the following methodologies to provide NRI with targeted results:
- Business analysis - compiling and analysing existing data from a variety of public sources, such as technological research agencies, press releases and online media;
- Technology analysis - functional benchmarking of existing solutions focusing on descriptions of products, modules, features and functionalities. UI analysis of information including screenshots, demos, forums and consulting firms;
- Interviews with companies - conducting seven interviews with TMP provider representatives. Conversations were based on a script that focused on NRI’s topics of concern;
- Survey of companies - questionnaire sent to the TMP providers and peripheral companies with whom we had previously made a contact.
NRI received a detailed research report, which included a presentation of key findings and summaries for senior management, plus all interview recordings and survey results along with corresponding analysis.
This customised research project will allow NRI to ground its investment decision-making on tangible deliverables when considering the development and adoption of new technologies. Our findings helped the client understand the key success factors for the envisaged TMP solution and evaluate the different scenarios for how it might proceed with TMP.
