The situation

SafeSide started with the goal of simplifying the way people purchase pure life insurance in Switzerland

SafeSide´s mission was to create a straightforward digital alternative to the traditionally opaque, paper-driven insurance purchase path. SafeSide intended to offer a technologically advanced platform that would enable users to apply for insurance policies online – fast and transparent – in an entirely paperless manner. SafeSide contacted ELEKS with a partially ready MVP concept. It needed an experienced software development vendor to lead it through development and product launch.

A unique web solution that offers a fully-digital approach to pure life insurance

The ELEKS team joined the project on a fixed-price basis, to help finalise development of the SafeSide platform. We started with a three-day product design workshop, during which our business analysis, engineering and design experts helped SafeSide refine the product’s functionality and development strategy.

In doing so, we helped the client create a technology solution that is completely unique to the life insurance market. The tool fully digitises the underwriting process, calculates the individual coverage in under 3 minutes, and results in a paperless application and provisional coverage.

The SafeSide platform handles the entire process – from selecting coverage to generating the policy application – with an easy-to-use and intuitive policy builder tool and a complex calculating module to handle all calculations.
